 Prep is a specially designed educational program for schools offered on a full-time, non-compulsory basis five days per week 8:45am 2:55pm.
The Early Years Curriculum Guidelines are designed to better prepare children for school. The Prep curriculum is based on active learning, which includes inquiry, investigation and play. Teachers will plan for children's learning using five Early Learning Areas. These are:

Health and physical learning

Language learning and communication

Early mathematical understandings

Active learning processes.
These five Early Learning Areas are linked to the curriculum that is used in other primary school year levels (e.g. the Arts, English and Mathematics Key Learning Areas).
